Better Rest Up For Glenbard West Homecoming Events

Glenbard West High School will celebrate homecoming with many exciting events for students, and the community is invited to be a part of the celebration.

The homecoming pep rally will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in Biester gym, with a bonfire to follow.

Saturday, Oct. 12, is so packed with events, it's hard to believe they can all fit into one day.

Start the day with the Booster-sponsored pancake breakfast from 7 to 11:30 a.m. in the school cafeteria. 

The homecoming parade steps off at 10 a.m. Saturday at Forest Glen School on Main and Elm streets in Glen Ellyn, and ends at Glenbard West.  A shuttle bus to Forest Glen will be available to alumni and West staff at 9:15 a.m.

Alumni tours of Glenbard West will be held at 11 a.m. and noon on Saturday. Alumni should gather in front of the main office foyer/Circle Drive area.  

The festivities continue with the varsity football game Saturday, as the Hilltoppers (5-1, 3-0 WSC Silver) take on Proviso West (2-4, 0-3). Kick off is at 1:30 p.m.

The week will end with the homecoming dance at 8 p.m. Saturday.
