We've got a round up of what will be happening on July 4th in Glen Ellyn.

Fourth of July is right around the corner and Glen Ellyn is gearing up for the holiday.

A full day of activities is planned for Friday, July 4, starting with the Freedom Four Four-Mile Run at 8 a.m. at Glenbard West Football Field and wraps up at night with fireworks at Lake Ellyn Park.

Those interested in registering for the four-mile run can contact the park district at 630-858-2462.

Glen Ellyn's Fourth of July Parade will step off at noon in downtown Glen Ellyn and will begin east of Glenbard West High School on Crescent Boulevard and continue west to Main Street, north to Linden Avenue and eventually head east to Lake Ellyn.

In the afternoon, plenty of activities are planned at Lake Ellyn. From 1 to 4 p.m., visitors can purchase a $3 wristband to enjoy a variety of festivities including: moonwalks, inflatable obstacle course, eight penny carnival games with tickets redeemable for prizes, live music and dancing and face painting. Concessions will be available for purchase.

The day will wrap up with fireworks at dusk. More information on the fireworks and Fourth of July festivities can be found on the Fourth of July in Glen Ellyn website.
