Women’s Suffrage Movement Featured in Glen Ellyn Woman’s Club Fall Program

On Tuesday, September 10 at 1:00 pm, four service organizations will gather to experience Annette Baldwin’s presentation, “Long Road to Victory,”  a portrayal of the women who spearheaded the Women’s Suffrage Movement.  The program will be held at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main Street, with an audience of members and guests from the Glen Ellyn Woman’s Club, Reliquarian Organization, League of Women Voters and Glen Ellyn Historical Society.  Baldwin has presented her first person portrayals in over 200 cities across the country.  Libraries, universities, professional and community organizations have all benefited from her first person portrayals of Jane Adams, Susan B. Anthony, Coco Chanel and the five suffragettes that she will include in her program on September 10.
The Glen Ellyn Woman’s Club Program Chairman, Maurine Hoeppner is very excited to be able to bring this high caliber program to Glen Ellyn and share it with the three other organizations.  Call 630-469-4516 for information and to make a reservation for the afternoon meeting.
