Riley Blevins, Neighbor

After graduating from Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, Ill., and realizing I was about two feet too short and eons too slow to pursue a career in the National Football League - I tried my hand at the next best thing, sports journalism. (only joking)

I am currently a sports journalism and electronic media major at the University of Tennessee and love reporting and writing. Ever since my freshman year, when my college counselor sat across from me and said, "If you're not busy as a journalism major, then you're not doing it right." - I've tried to take that motto and run with it: writing, reporting and publishing for as many news outlets as I can.

Outside of the Patch, I am a sports intern with the Kane County Chronicle newspaper, the assistant sports editor for the Tennessee Journalist - UT's official news website - write for my school's newspaper, The Daily Beacon, write for BleacherReport.com, have freelanced articles for Yahoo!, and appear on my school's weekly sports radio show, Tripple Play Sports.

When I'm not writing, I enjoy all things Chicago and Vol sports.
