In addition to being a freelance writer, I'm a mom of 5-year-old fraternal boy/girl twins. I am a choir member and a cantor for St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Addison. I'm also learning  a Japanese martial art known as Aikido.

I have a bachelor's degree of communications from Dominican University and a master's of journalism from Roosevelt University.

For seven years, I was a feature writer for Press Publications and Liberty Suburban. Since then, I have been a freelance writer for The Addison and Elmhurst Independent, Daily Herald and the Chicago Tribune Special Sections Division.
