Food, Music Kick Off Labor Day Weekend at Sounds on the Street

The second annual Sounds on the Street will be held Friday night in downtown Glen Ellyn.

Labor Day weekend kicks off Friday night with Glen Ellyn taking the music to the street. The second annual Sounds on the Street will be held Friday night, allowing residents to enjoy a summer evening, some food, beverages and music. Sounds on the Street will close down Main Street between Duane Street and Hillside Avenue. Attendees can enjoy food from the restaurants on the block while listening to the music of iPOP, said Carol White, executive director of the Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn. “It’s a great opportunity to walk into a restaurant you want to try, maybe to try something new,” she said.
