Coaches Analyze Football Season, Share Insights During Library Program

The coaches from Glenbard South and Glenbard West high schools will share details on the season, past seasons and personal football philosophies during an event Wednesday night.

Get the details on how the football season is shaping up from the coaches themselves.  Glenbard South High School head football coach Jeremy Cordell and Glenbard West High School head football coach Chad Hetlet will analyze the current season, while sharing some of the greatest moments from past seasons during a program at the Glen Ellyn Public Library. The coaches will be discussing football Wednesday night during the program, which will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the library. During the program both coaches will offer analysis of the current season, reflections on past seasons and share highlights about each team’s players, according to a news release from the Glen Ellyn Public Library. Glenbard South Captures First Conference Win

Three fourth quarter touchdowns send Elmwood Park home with a loss.

Someday teams will learn to keep kickoffs far away from the Glenbard South's Wes Sanders. Someday, but not today.  The situation looked perilous after the Tigers marched down the field to take a 21-14 lead on the first play of the fourth quarter. The Raiders were down and maybe lost a little confidence. But the game was far from over. On the ensuing kickoff, the Elmwood Park kick went a little too far. Sanders came up on the ball, and 75 yards later Sanders crossed the goal line and put the Raiders back in the game. If the defense was a little down after the Tiger score, they bounced back quickly after Sanders’ run.
