Downtown Glen Ellyn Transforming into Winter Wonderland Saturday
Santa and his reindeer will be visiting downtown Glen Ellyn Saturday, turning downtown into a Winter Wonderland.
Snow is elusive this holiday season, but that isn’t going to keep Glen Ellyn’s downtown from turning into a winter wonderland. Saturday, downtown Glen Ellyn will be filled with holiday spirit, even if the weather doesn’t comply. From 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. families and shoppers are invited to hang out downtown, stroll through the shops, meet with Santa Claus and enjoy free carriage rides. Last year the Alliance of Dowtown Glen Ellyn held events every Saturday during the holiday season, but this year it chose to focus on one specific day, said Carol White, executive director of the Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn.
