ST. CHARLES Marc T. Okerblad, 21, of the 500 block of Harrison Street, Batavia, was charged at 2:20 a.m. Dec. 30 at 301 W. Main St., with disorderly conduct/public drunkenness, resisting a peace officer and violation of bail bond. Police who were downtown for bar closing said Okerblad approached an officer and demanded a ride home, and the officers informed him he should call a cab. He continued to press the issue in what police called a confrontational manner and would not back down after being told repeatedly to call a cab or someone for a ride home. BATAVIA GLEN ELLYN Buddy W. Blazek, 20, of the 900 block of South Ardmore, Villa Park, was charged with possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana after his arrest near Roosevelt and Baker Hill around 1:25 a.m. Dec. 13, police said. ST. CHARLES La Vie Encore, 211 S. 3rd St., reported a series of Christmas decoration thefts at 1:28 p.m. Dec. 12. The latest incident had occurred between 10 a.m. and noon that day, with theft of garland from the lower level south windows. The business reported to police this was the fifth such theft since Nov. 25, but the business apparently shrugged off the earlier thefts and not reported them to police. NAPERVILLE Someone placed a Drano bomb on a front porch Nov. 14 and then repeatedly rang the doorbell. The bomb exploded prior to a resident answering the front door in the 900 block of Merrimac Circle. No damage was reported, police said. Retail theft of condoms was reported Nov. 13 in the 700 block of South Route 59, police said. GLEN ELLYN Katharine P. Grilli, 18, of the 3000 block of Mayfair Avenue, Westchester, was arrested at 8:48 a.m. Nov. 5 at Park Boulevard and Sheehan Avenue, police said. She was charged possession of drug equipment, possession of 30 grams or less of cannabis and speeding in a school zone.
