Glen Ellyn Police Department reports, Feb. 17-24
Police said Michael Jon Conrad II, 23, of the first block of Briar Street, was arrested at 7:29 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Surrey Drive. He was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license, disobeying a stop sign, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of 30 grams or less of cannabis. Police said someone threw a cinder block through a patio door window causing it to shatter in the 300 block of Spruce. The incident was reported at 8 p.m. A vehicle parked in a driveway in the 700 block of Chidester was burglarized between 11:15 p.m. Feb. 22 and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 23. Glen Ellyn Police Department reports, Jan. 6 to 13
Police said a purse was stolen between 3:30 and 4:10 p.m. from a vehicle parked at the Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center. The vehicle was locked and someone broke out the driver’s side window, taking the purse, which was on the back seat floor. The purse contained a wallet, a number of gift cards and about $20 in cash.
