March Home Sales: Glen Ellyn Market Shows No Change; Median Price Rises

Year-over-year, Glen Ellyn saw no increase in the number of homes sold, though the median home price saw a more than 30 percent increase, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.

The 32 homes sold in Glen Ellyn during March 2013 represented no growth in sales over March 2012, when the same number of homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). There were 14 homes sold in Glen Ellyn during February.  While the number of homes sold was stagnant, the median price of homes sold in March increased in Glen Ellyn. The median price rose  32.4 percent to $338,500 from $255,625 in March 2012. The market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout DuPage County experienced notable sales gains in March, MORe reported. MORe gets its statistics from Midwest Real Estate Data.
