Glenbard South Student Named a Presidential Scholar Semifinalist

Glenbard South student Andrew Bean named a semifinalist for the U.S. Presidential Scholars program.

From District 87: Glenbard South High School student Andrew Bean is a semifinalist for the U.S. Presidential Scholars program, which honors some of the country’s most distinguished high school seniors. Bean is one of 550 semifinalists chosen from nearly 4,000 candidates. Up to 141 students are chosen from among outstanding graduating seniors to become Presidential Scholars. Scholars are selected on the basis of their accomplishments in the areas of academic and artistic success, leadership and community & school involvement. Final selection of the scholars will be announced next month. District 87 Students Chosen as Presidential Scholar Candidates

A student from Glenbard South and Glenbard West are among candidates chosen from across the country to receive the honor.

From Glenbard Township High School District 87 Two students from Glenbard Township High School District 87 have been chosen as candidates for the U.S. Presidential Scholars program, which honors some of the country’s most distinguished high school seniors.   Congratulations go out to Glenbard South High School student Andrew Bean and Glenbard West High School student Matthew Udelhofen. Up to 141 students are chosen from among outstanding graduating seniors to become Presidential Scholars. Scholars are selected on the basis of their accomplishments in the areas of academic and artistic success, leadership and community & school involvement.
