Glen Ellyn: November Home Sales
In November, the median home price in Glen Ellyn went up and the number of homes sold increased significantly compared with November 2011, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.
The 39 detached, single-family homes sold in Glen Ellyn during November represented an 85.7 percent increase over November 2011, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). There were 18 homes sold in Glen Ellyn during October. In addition, the median price of homes sold in November ($418,000) was 30.6 percent higher than the median price of homes sold in October 2011 ($320,000). The market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout DuPage County saw growth in November, MORe reported. MORe gets its statistics from Midwest Real Estate Data. Downers Grove saw the largest percent increase, with 137.5 percent more homes sold year over year in November. There were 16 homes sold that month in 2011 and 38 in 2012. …
