Volunteer Fire Co. Chooses Buccola as New Fire Chief

A 21-year veteran of the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Co. will finish out the term of fire chief after the recent resignation of Pete Campbell.

The Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Co. has chosen Jeff Buccola as fire chief. Buccola will serve out the five months that were remaining when Pete Campbell resigned from the position. Buccola is a 21-year veteran of the volunteer fire company. He will serve as the chief of the company until the annual election takes place in April 2013. Recently Campbell resigned the position of fire chief due to personal reasons, according to the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Co. In addition to Buccola taking over as fire chief, Chief Chris Clark will be filling out the rest of the term as First Assistant Chief, according to a news release from the organization. “The GEVFC will not only provide the residents with fire and EMS service, but will continue to evaluate…
