If you have the winter blahs, and who doesn’t about this time of year, the Glen Ellyn Public Library is ready to give you a break with one day packed with fun activities. The library is hosting a Super Tuesday event, which will feature six programs for library goers of all ages. Events begin in the morning and continue into the evening. Programs offered on Super Tuesday include: Free One-on-One Career Counseling for Adults (9:30am—noon) Register for a free 30-minute session with a JVS career counselor who will review your resume and discuss the current job market. Cathy Leman is the owner of NutriFit, which provides nutrition counseling and fitness training, in downtown Glen Ellyn.
When new clients contact Cathy Leman, they often tell her they need a new or different diet, but she knows that what’s eating people is often what is affecting their diet and overall health. Leman, a Glen Ellyn resident, is the owner of NutriFit, located in downtown Glen Ellyn. She is a registered dietician and nutritionist. NutriFit offers clients, whether individuals or corporate clients, an integrative mix of services from nutrition therapy to weight management services, personal training to small group mind-body classes like yoga. Seems no month goes by without it being named for some special event or program. September is no different. The month, best known for Labor Day, doesn’t get to sit around and be lazy. Not this month. Not only is SeptemberNational Preparedness Month, it is also “Fruit and Veggies—More Matters Month.” The Fruit and Veggies—More Matters Month is a public health initiative that was started to encourage Americans to eat more fruits and vegetables, whether they are fresh, frozen, canned, dried and 100 percent juice, according to the organization.
