Hayden Lekacz kicked a 32-yard field goal with 9:17 left in the first half and Glenbard West's defense did the rest as the Hilltoppers edged Wheaton North 3-0 in a Class 7A football quarterfinal on Saturday. Hilltoppers 21 unanswered fourth-quarter points down the Wildcats.
The Glenbard West Hilltoppers scored on their first two possessions but had to fight off a Libertyville Wildcat comeback in the third quarter. Three big fourth quarter touchdowns iced the game and propelled the Hilltoppers to the quarterfinals of the Class 7A IHSA playoffs with a 38-10 win. According to The Chicago Tribune, Glenbard West sacked Libertyville quarterback Jack Deichl nine times and forced three turnovers. Libertyville finished the season 8-3. Glenbard West (11-0) will be back at home next week to face No. 5 Wheaton North. The official date and the time of the game will be released Monday.

After an outstanding undefeated season of play, the Hilltoppers continue to excel. Saturday, the team faces Libertyville on the Wildcats home turf. If you can’t make it out to watch the game, we will be streaming it live with the help of High School Cube. The game begins at 3 p.m. Nov. 3. Hilltoppers finish regular season at 9-0
Glenbard West continued its amazing 2012 season, beating the Downers Grove North Trojans 26-0. West is a No. 1 seed in the Class 7A playoffs and will host Elk Grove in the first round. The date and time of the game will be released Monday afternoon.

The folks at Glenbard West sure know how to throw a homecoming party. When the touchdown they scored on the first play of the game was called back for a penalty, they settled down and scored a touchdown on the third play of the game instead. Offensively and defensively, the Hilltoppers could do no wrong this day, beating Addison Trail in a non-conference game, 43-0, to move to 7-0 overall. Next up for Glenbard West is a trip to the winless York Dukes at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12.

Hilltoppers remain unbeaten with a 41-14 victory.
Glenbard West jumped out to an early lead as Henry Haeffner hit Luke Domask with a 39-yard touchdown pass on the first offensive series. The Hilltoppers never looked back and cruised to a 41-14 victory to remain undefeated in the West Suburban Silver Conference. West is back home next weekend for a non-conference game against Addison Trail at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 6.

Later in the second quarter, the Hitters were at roughly the Falcons' 40 yard line. They needed about 3 yards on the 4th down. They tried to run for it and got a yard or two, but the runner was tackled just short of getting the first down. The Falcons then managed to get all the way to about the 15 yard line.
