Jennifer Darnall: Glen Ellyn Patch 2012 Person of the Year
Jennifer Darnall was one of four residents nominated for consideration as the Glen Ellyn Patch Person of the Year.
Being in the limelight isn’t a comfortable place for Jennifer Darnall. When the Glen Ellyn resident and community volunteer was nominated as the Glen Ellyn Patch 2012 Person of the Year, she was more than surprised. Darnall was chosen as the Glen Ellyn Patch 2012 Person of the Year based on the number of votes and comments in support of her nomination. She was one of four people nominated in late December. A resident of Glen Ellyn for 21 years, Darnall began volunteering with the Glen Ellyn Infant Welfare Society about 12 years ago. She expanded her community service to helping at her church, First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn, and is also on the boards of the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry (representing her church) and Bridge Communities. …
