Dual Language and Foreign Language at the Elementary School programs will be implemented at schools in the district in 2013-14.
District 41 has approved a Dual Language and Foreign Language at the Elementary School language instruction program for its elementary students. The Glen Ellyn School District 41 Board of Education approved the measure during its business meeting Monday night. As of Dec. 9, the group appeared to have gathered 50 online signatures to its petition. (The number of signatures has increased since this story's publication) The online petition …

It is scientifically proven to be effective at increasing language ability in both groups. It will be phased in over five years and is well planned. I wish the Think Tank proposal was as well planned, presented and proven as the Dual Language Program. Think Tank would be implemented …   more ›
