Salon Bandit Charged in DuPage Robberies; Faces Maximum of 120 Years in Prison for DuPage Incidents

Jason Logsdon, 41, of the 900 Chicago Avenue, Evanston, was charged with four armed robberies in DuPage County. He was charged earlier in the week in Cook County. He faces up to 120 years in prison.

An Evanston man already charged in 11 business and hair salon robberies in the Cook County was charged Friday with robbing a Glen Ellyn Great Clips, along with three other businesses in Lombard. Jason Logsdon, 41, of the 900 block of Chicago Avenue, Evanston, was charged with allegedly robbing four DuPage County businesses in the past two months, according to DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin. He was charged with four counts of armed robbery, each a Class X Felony punishable by up to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. The law allows for the sentences to be served consecutively, making it possible that Logsdon could serve a maximum sentence of 120 years. Logsdon was charged earlier in the week with robbing 11 …

No Injuries in Great Clips Armed Robbery Thursday Morning

Police said a man who appeared to be about 35 years old, 5'10" and 230 pounds robbed the Great Clips on Roosevelt Road on Thursday morning.

UPDATED: Jan. 3, 2:55 p.m. A man brandishing a handgun robbed a Great Clips in Glen Ellyn early Thursday morning, getting away on foot with a small amount of money. Glen Ellyn police responded to the robbery call at the Great Clips, 692 Roosevelt Road, at 9:30 a.m., said Deputy Chief Bill Holmer. Employees told police the man entered the Great Clips, displayed a gun and demanded money. He left the store with a small, undisclosed amount of money and was seen walking east, Holmer said in a news release Thursday afternoon. Witnesses described the man as being about 35 years old, about 5’10” and 230 pounds. He was carrying a black backpack and wearing tan pants, a black jacket and a scarf that covered most of his face.
