A vehicle veered across northbound Park Boulevard Monday night striking a tree.
A single-car accident, which took place Monday night, remains under investigation, according to the Glen Ellyn Police department. Traffic was down to one lane heading north in the 200 block of Park Boulevard Monday night after a vehicle struck a tree. The accident took place at about 8:50 p.m., said Glen Ellyn Deputy Police Chief Bill Holmer. The driver of a Chevy Suburban, who police did not identify, was heading south on Park Boulevard when the vehicle veered across the northbound lanes and struck a tree in front of a residence at 229 S. Park Blvd. Police are still investigating the incident. Both Glen Ellyn Police and Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Co. responded to the incident.
Police have charged Anne Page with driving under the influence after she drove into a Park Boulevard home Monday night. The owners of the home were uninjured.
A Glen Ellyn home sustained significant structural damage after police said an SUV driven by a 17-year-old Glen Ellyn girl smashed into it Monday night. No one in the home was injured as a result of the accident. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, but two passengers were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, a Glen Ellyn Police official said late Tuesday afternoon.
