Church's Nativity Scene Show "Real" Message of Christmas

Instead of joining nighttime shoppers searching for gifts, Isaac and Courtney Edwards of Glen Ellyn will encourage people to find the true Christmas spirit this Friday. With warm coats on under their costumes, the couple and their daughters, 8-month-old Charlotte and 3-year-old Abigail will transform themselves as Joseph, Mary, the baby Jesus and a shepherd for First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn's 22nd annual presentation of the living Nativity Creche. The event, which takes place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the front entry of the church's chapel at 550 N. Main St., coincides with Glen Ellyn's Holiday Walk.   The Edwards are one of three families this year who stand in the scene for 30-minute shifts. Courtney explained that the church …
