Glen Ellyn December Home Sales Up, Median Price Down
Home sales continued to stay in a positive direction during December, though the median price in Glen Ellyn saw a decrease over the prior year.
The 27 detached, single-family homes sold in Glen Ellyn during December represented an 8 percent increase over December 2011— one of the most modest increases in DuPage County, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). There were 39 homes sold in Glen Ellyn during November. In addition, the median price of homes sold in December ($303,000) was -29.9 percent lower than the median price of homes sold in December 2011 ($432,500). The market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout DuPage County saw growth in December, MORe reported. MORe gets its statistics from Midwest Real Estate Data.
