Police Blotter: Smash and Grab, Driving Under the Influence
Glen Ellyn Police Department reports, Jan. 6 to 13
Police said a purse was stolen between 3:30 and 4:10 p.m. from a vehicle parked at the Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center. The vehicle was locked and someone broke out the driver’s side window, taking the purse, which was on the back seat floor. The purse contained a wallet, a number of gift cards and about $20 in cash. Johnathan R. Cusack, 26, of the first block of Briar Street, was arrested at 8:51 p.m. in the 1100 block of Roosevelt Road, police said. He was charged with driving while his license was suspended, driving without a registration and driving an uninsured motor vehicle. Kyle A. Thompson, 26, of the 300 block of Spruce Lane, was arrested at 5:39 p.m. at Park and Fawell boulevards, police said. He was charged with driving too …
