Here's a round-up of recent and bizarre police report items from the area.

ST. CHARLES Shan Robert Jezior, 39, of the 100 block of Wester Street, West Chicago, was charged at 6:51 p.m. Dec. 1 at the St. Charles Police Department with retail theft, and violation of a protection order. According to the report, Jezior tried to steal a 60-inch Sharp Aquos television valued at $1,078 from Walmart, 150 Smith Road. He fled when store employees asked him for a receipt and later was detained by police in West Chicago. While St. Charles police were processing Jezior, Walmart officials called back to report someone who looked like Jezior had been seen on a store security video from Nov. 29 stealing a 51-inch Samsung high-definition television valued at $584. OMG PD: Drano Bomb, Gas Gobbler, Secret Scrapper

NAPERVILLE Someone placed a Drano bomb on a front porch Nov. 14 and then repeatedly rang the doorbell. The bomb exploded prior to a resident answering the front door in the 900 block of Merrimac Circle. No damage was reported, police said. Retail theft of condoms was reported Nov. 13 in the 700 block of South Route 59, police said. GLEN ELLYN Katharine P. Grilli, 18, of the 3000 block of Mayfair Avenue, Westchester, was arrested at 8:48 a.m. Nov. 5 at Park Boulevard and Sheehan Avenue, police said. She was charged possession of drug equipment, possession of 30 grams or less of cannabis and speeding in a school zone. OMG PD: Golfer Makes a Slice, Security Puts a Wrench in Theft, Trying to Fill Big Shoes

BATAVIA A woman said she has found golf balls on her west-side property for the past several months. She told police at 5:36 p.m. Oct. 1 that she saw a neighbor hitting golf balls and found several balls blocking her gutter. GENEVA Robert Wilson, 53, apparently really wanted some size 13 wrestling shoes—because he ended up paying a pretty high price after he was caught by Geneva police. Police arrested Wilson of Aurora on charges of retail theft and unlawful possession of a theft-detection device at 2:01 p.m. following a theft from the Sports Authority, 1777 S. Randall Road, reports said. Geneva police responded to a report from Tri-Com dispatch that a witness was following a male offender leaving the scene in a maroon Chevrolet Caprice. …
