Glen Ellyn police reports, April 29-May 5

SUNDAY, MAY 5 Someone stole an unlocked vehicle that was parked on the street on the 500 block of Newton. The incident occurred between 9:30 p.m. May 4 and 8 a.m. May 5. Further information on this theft was not immediately available. SATURDAY, MAY 4 Horacio Venegas-Corona, 22, of the 200 block of North Harvard Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 11:09 p.m. with driving without a license and a sign violation at St. Charles Road and Forest. Robert Q. Gorman, 23, of the 700 block of West Liberty Street, Wheaton, was charged at 5:47 p.m. with public indecency at a store on the first block of South Park Boulevard. Alexander J. Malandro, 20, of the 300 block of Larch Lane, Glen Ellyn, was charged at 1:29 a.m. with illegal consumption of alcohol …

Wheaton Man Charged With Burglarizing Church Near Glen Ellyn

The man damaged property and ate on the premises of St. Luke's Evangelical Church near Glen Ellyn, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

A Wheaton man has been charged with burglarizing a church in an unincorporated area near Glen Ellyn, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office. The arrest of Jason Schultz, 38, of the 700 block of Liberty Avenue, Wheaton, comes after an investigation by the sheriff's office that began in November, when St. Luke's Evangelical Church first reported a burglary. In mid-December, the sheriff's office says, three more burglaries at schools and churches in south Milton Township were reported, including a second at St. Luke's. The sheriff's investigation led to Schultz, who was charged with one count of burglary from a school or place of worship, a class 1 felony. Police Blotter: Stolen Phone, Egged Car, Cannabis Possession

Glen Ellyn Police Department reports, Feb. 17-24

Police said Michael Jon Conrad II, 23, of the first block of Briar Street, was arrested at 7:29 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Surrey Drive. He was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license, disobeying a stop sign, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of 30 grams or less of cannabis. Police said someone threw a cinder block through a patio door window causing it to shatter in the 300 block of Spruce. The incident was reported at 8 p.m.   A vehicle parked in a driveway in the 700 block of Chidester was burglarized between 11:15 p.m. Feb. 22 and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 23. Glen Ellyn Police Department reports, Jan. 27-Feb. 2

Matthew M. Fuhrman, 37, of the 100 block of S. Milton Avenue, was arrested at 9:01 p.m. at the intersection of Park Boulevard and Hill Avenue, Glen Ellyn Police said. He was charged with public intoxication. Police said Jose R. Serafin, 25, of the 10900 block of Prescott, Roselle, was arrested at 11:35 p.m. at Roosevelt Road and Royal Glen Drive. He was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, speed and possession of drug paraphernalia. Someone reported a driver’s side window was broken on their vehicle in the 300 block of Larch Lane, police said. The incident took place between 9 p.m. Jan. 29 and 9 a.m. Jan. 30. Margarito Gonzalez, 35, of the 1100 block of Surrey Drive, was arrested at 9:54 a.m. at the intersection of Brighton Street and Surrey Drive, Glen Ellyn police said. He was charged with driving with a revoked license and disobeying a traffic control device. Karla G. Veasco, 19, of the 300 block of Spruce Lane, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. in the 300 block of Spruce Lane, police said. She was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, interfering with police and possession of a false identification card. Police said Sarah Gesessew, 19, of the 1000 block of Wilson, Wheaton, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. in the 300 block of Spruce Lane. Siblings Arrested For Burglarizing Three Glen Ellyn Businesses

Two individuals from South Holland were arrested after a traffic stop on Geneva Road.

Police say siblings burglarized three Glen Ellyn businesses on Oct. 10 and were caught the same night after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Geneva Road.  The two alleged burglars are siblings from South Holland and are accused of stealing electronics and cash from two salons and one restaurant.    Kenneth W. Silva, 45, and his sister Renee M. Silva, 43, were both charged with possession of stolen property, and Kenneth was also charged with burglary, according to a statement from the Glen Ellyn Police Department.  After being pulled over for a traffic violation, police arrested Kenneth for not having a valid driver's license. Officers then found $1,700 of cash in his pockets and additional evidence in the car, which officers …
