BP released a list of stations that received gasoline known to cause problems in vehicles. Three stations in Glen Ellyn received the off-specification fuel.
BP has released a list of stations that sold tainted gasoline related to refinery problem at its Whiting, IN plant and three Glen Ellyn stations are on the list. Places that received some of the fuel, which has caused problems in some vehicles, include two BP stations and one non-BP station—the Speedway on North Avenue. The three stations are the located at 2S780 Route 53 and 339 Roosevelt Road and the Speedway at 22W275 North Ave. The owner operator of the BP on Route 53, Mark Gil said he has received about 20 documented calls from customers who encountered problems. “What worked in our favor is because we are not getting consecutive deliveries out of Whiting, it diluted the effects,” Gil said. “I talked to some customers who had no …
