County Board Receives AAA Bond Rating

College of DuPage spokesman promoted bond referendum on the Nov. 2 ballot in the County board meeting yesterday, Tuesday, Oct. 26.

DuPage County has maintained a AAA bond rating from the three major national bond rating agencies, Bob Schillerstrom, DuPage county board chairman announced yesterday, Tuesday, Oct. 26. During a county board meeting Tuesday, Schillerstrom said less than one percent of counties in the United States obtain a AAA bond rating. Schillerstrom said he was excited about the bond rating and what that means for DuPage County.  "This goes to show you how being fiscally conservative with our budget is benefitting DuPage County," Schillerstrom said. The three agencies that provided the rating are Fitch Ratings, Standard & Poor's and Moody's. The county has been rated AAA in 2001, 2006 and in January of 2010.
