Village of Glen Ellyn Names New Assistant Village Manager

Village of Glen Ellyn hires Al Stonitsch as the new assistant village manager to manage human resources, IT and oversee communications.

The Village of Glen Ellyn on Monday announced the appointment of Al Stonitsch as its new assistant village manager.   Stonitsch, who has 11 years of experience in local government and currently works as the human resources director for the Village of Glenview, will move into his new role March 11, according to a news release from the Village of Glen Ellyn. The village received than 90 applications for the position that pays roughly $110,000 a year, following the retirement of former Assistant to the Village Manager, Dana Marie Izzo. Glen Ellyn Searching for New Assistant Village Manager

The village is looking to fill a position that will be left vacant when a long-time employee retires.

The Village of Glen Ellyn is in the process of searching for an Assistant Village Manager, a position that pays roughly $110,000 a year — dependent upon experience. The position will be left vacant when long-time Assistant Village Manager Dana Marie Izzo retires in March. The village hopes to fill the position by that time. The village has two assistants to the village manager; one who handles administrative affairs and the other has typically managed human resources.
