The Glenbard West team placed third overall, largely on the strength of first-place finishes from Madeline Perez in the 1600-meter and 3200-meter.
Glenbard West High School cross-country star junior Madeline Perez added two more Illinois state titles to her running resume over the weekend as her first-place finishes in the 1600-meter (4:52.24) and 3200-meter (10:22.29) races provided a 20-point boost for the Hilltoppers at Saturday’s 3A girls track state meet. According to the Suburban Life, Perez now has titles in races at (approximately) one, two and three miles, having set a state record in cross-country track in the fall of 2012 on the three-mile course. The Hilltoppers also got points from Emma Reifel (800-meter, third, 2:12.19) and Emma Gambol (triple jump, eighth, 37-00.50), plus Reifel and Gambol together with JaSharra Clark and Mary Nevins (4x400 relay, eighth, 3:58.47.) …

Seven Glenbard West, South students to compete in IHSA state final this weekend.
Seven Glen Ellyn students have qualified for the IHSA boys gymnastics state finals this weekend at Lincoln-Way East. From Glenbard South, Paul Steger, Eugene Boguslavsky will compete for the title Saturday, coached by Steve Young. Coached by Frank Novakowski, Glenbard West students Joey Mandarino, Jon McNamara, Jonah Nguyen, Luke Skala and Perry Zumbrook will compete this weekend. Information courtesy of District 87.

"It certainly exceeded the value assigned to a Crown Victoria that's been in the police fleet," Lombard Director of Public Works Carl Goldsmith told the paper. "We're pleased with the results." District 87 enters agreement for event streaming, digital and scoreboard ads for its four high schools.
Glenbard District 87 has entered an agreement with PlayOn! Sports after its agreement with iHigh for advertising online and on LED boards fell through, District 87 officials said earlier this month. According to the Daily Herald, the District 87 school board voted last fall to approve an eight-year agreement with iHigh for coordination of advertising sponsorships for eight scoreboards at the four district high schools. But since then the company has indicated they don't sell scoreboard ads. iHigh's COO Black Brickman told the Herald selling scoreboard ads is not part of the company's business model. The agreement with iHigh ends June 30. District 87 will pay $8,000 for the 30-month contract with PlayOn! Sports. The district will have …
