It's a community for a high school students and adult mentors to get to know each other, fellowship, talk and have fun.More At the core of Young Life, a non-denominational, Christian organization, is a mission to introduce students to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. Started in Texas in 1941, Young Life now has local branches that serve students from area high schools throughout America. Young Life Northwest DuPage, which bears a Glen Ellyn mailing address, serves students from Glenbard South and Glenbard West high schools. Students meet once a week during the school year, and in the summer it's off to camp. A program for junior high students called Wyldlife offers fellowship and camping to students grades 6-8. In Glen Ellyn, Wyldlife draws kids from Glen Crest Middle and Hadley Junior High schools. Young Life Northwest DuPage once had offices at 488 N. One of the highlights of this academy is the 1.5-acre yard and school garden, which provides students an opportunity to learn gardening and cooking, as they make dishes such as summer squash muffins and cold gazpacho soup.

Students earn normal academic credits while receiving therapy through individual and group sessions, recreation, music, art and pets. Located behind Glen Ellyn Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Glen Ellyn site serves as the South Campus of the three-campus school, which also has campuses in Glendale Heights (Main Campus) and North Aurora (West Campus). The school receives funding from Adventist GlenOaks Hospital and the state of Illinois through local school districts.
