I love Swap Shop! This unique consigment store came into Glen Ellyn at a great time in this economy! The inventory is incredible! She gets some really good designer labels. The store is always clean and smells nice. The owner Beverly is always smiling and laughing each time Ive seen her.
I love when she does the window displays, you never know what will be behind the curtain. Keep up the good work Beverly! This store is a great addition to downtowntown Glen Ellyn and to all the consigment stores out there. This store is by far one of the best!

I love swap shop. It is by far the best consigment shop I have been to. And, I have been to many in Cgo and NY. Everything from the clothes to the accessories are gorgeous and the prices are reasonable.

The staff is warm and friendly and make me feel special each and every time I walk in.

For someone who only shops consignment, Swap Shop makes one feel like you're in heaven. Beside all of the tempting pieces available to purchase, Beverly, the owner, has sold many of my pieces for me. Of the many places I've consigned, Beverly has the clientele that appreciates unusual designer shoes (in small sizes, to boot). She had a vintage Chanel bag in the window that made me weep it was so beautiful. Try this place . . . you'll be glad you did.

LOVE this shop! Best score ever ... a classy, lightweight, GORGEOUS rabbit fur poncho. I walked in the store to see another customer holding it, and I thought, "Girl, put that poncho down, 'cause that is MINE." She did, and I enjoy this piece so much. Fancy dresses, casual tops, lovely jewelery, killer shoes ... all in a beautiful space. Beverly is a joy, whether I'm shopping, dropping off consignment pieces or just visiting.

Swap Shop positions itself as an upscale boutique carrying high-end name brands for reasonable prices. The store space is clean, and the clothing is in good shape and reasonably priced. This summer I bought a Maggy London dress for $40 and was very pleased with the purchase. However, I had quite a negative experience trying to sell clothing at the store. I called to make an appointment, and the store owner gave me certain guidelines about what she could accept and not accept, with an air that most of my clothing was not up to par. When I got to the store, one item she said she could accept was called "too traditional" and rejected. The item that she said she couldn't accept, she did. I was quite irritated, and the store owner could tell. In her own irritation, she handed back the item she could sell and said, "You know what, you can take your jacket back. We have over 700 people calling us to sell, and we don't need this." I said that I would not be returning to the store, and she said that she was glad because she didn't want people like me shopping there. I was struck by the owner's unprofessionalism in the face of my questioning of her guidelines, and, as I told her, will not be shopping there again. In the effort to be high-end, I'm afraid Swap Shop comes off as a bit snooty and judgmental.
