Benjamin Franklin Elementary, built in 1929, is one of the largest elementary schools in District 41. The school prides itself on its level of parental involvement through the PTA, volunteer activities and student support. Benjamin Franklin Elementary has a long history of community involvement. In the 1930's, movies were shown in the gym on the weekend for families. Benjamin Franklin Elementary has over 30 full time faculty members and serves over 600 students each school year.
