Barone's Family Restaurant and Pizzeria
630-858-0555
Barone's Family Restaurant and Pizzeria has embedded itself so far into the community that it has become part of the tapestry of Glen Ellyn. For nearly 40 years, it has served up pizza and meatballs to Glen Ellyn residents, but it also has been so much more. The local Lions Club International branch meets at Barone's twice a month, and the restaurant's walls are covered with thank-you plaques from organizations like Glenbard West High School, whose programs it has supported financially. (It contributes to Glenbard South High School, too.)
A family-friendly restaurant, Barone's, which seats up to 234 people, also has a play room where kids can play with the Sony PlayStation if they don't want to sit around and listen to the grownups chat. In addition to its signature pizza, Barone's also offers its patrons salads and pasta. With a wall bearing photos of early 20th Century Glen Ellyn buildings and streets, Barone's offers a sense of local history, too.
