Fishing for Bass: Check out some of the most effective bass lures on the market, and try them on one of the county’s best bass lakes. 5 – 7 p.m. at Sand Pond at Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville on Butterfield Road one mile east of Route 59. Couples & BFF Painting Party: Designed for couples or friends, but open to anyone, this painting event allows each person to paint one part of a two panel painting, leaving with their own 16x20 canvas. Ticket price includes materials, instruction, aprons and the canvas. Social time starts at 6:30 p.m. and painting kicks off at 7. Cost is $35.
