5 Things to Do in Glen Ellyn This Weekend

No. 5 is so trippy, everyone should do it.

It's the weekend—time to make some plans. In the mood for some football? Shopping? Psychedelics?

1. The Glen Ellyn Historical Society is hosting its first Holiday Bazaar from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St. Fifteen vendors will sell jewelry, art, books, quilts and a whole lot more. Don't miss it!

2. Glenbard West  is still alive headed into Round 3 of the IHSA playoffs. This weekend, the Hilltoppers (10-1) head to Schaumburg High School. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. Schaumburg High School is located at 1100 W. Schaumburg Road.

3. As you begin holiday shopping in downtown Glen Ellyn, be sure to check out the businesses' window displays. Lots of the stores display hand-made gingerbread houses, models of the businesses they represent. Some are unique, others more traditional built with guidance from the experts at Whole Foods in Wheaton. Do you have a favorite? Take a photo and post it on Downtown Glen Ellyn Facebook page.
