Monday, Sept. 16

  • Glen Ellyn Village Board will meet in a workshop at 7 p.m. to discuss funding concerns of the volunteer fire company and other items.

  • North Side Sports Bar and Grill, 499 W. Pennsylvania Ave. in Glen Ellyn, will hold Trivia Night for 20 and 30-somethings at 7:30 p.m. 

Wednesday, Sept. 18

  • State Sen. Tom Cullerton (D-Villa Park) is holding a jobs fair from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Odeum in Villa Park. Get more information here.

Thursday, Sept. 19

  • The Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present Rosalind Wiseman, author of "Masterminds & Wingmen: Helping Your Son Cope with Schoolyard Power, Locker Room Tests, Girlfriends and the New Rules of Boy World" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Glenbard North High School, 990 Kuhn Road, Carol Stream. Wiseman, who was screenwriter for the film "Mean Girls," urges adults to change the way we speak to and about boys. On Sept. 19, she will share insights into struggles between boys and their parents, social networking, anxiety and cliques. She also will offer tips on helping teens develop a positive sense of self. 

Friday, Sept. 20

  • Glen Ellyn Farmers Market will be held in the Main Street parking lot from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hurry before it's over! Find locally grown produce, organic meats, fresh flowers, baked goods, jewelry and more.
