Monday, Sept. 9

Get all the business out of the way early in the week. 

Tuesday, Sept. 10

Women’s Suffrage Movement will be featured in Glen Ellyn Women’s Club's fall program. Annette Baldwin will present “Long Road to Victory,”  a portrayal of the women who spearheaded the Suffrage Movement, at 1 p.m. at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main Street.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

The 700-horse power, track-ready, NASCAR Nationwide Series Mustang Show Car is rolling into Glen Ellyn from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Nationwide Insurance, 910 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn.

Oh, and a little more village business: Glen Ellyn’s signage study public meeting will take place during a regular meeting of the Architectural Review Commission at Glen Ellyn Civic Center. Expect the sign portion of the meeting to begin sometime after 8 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 12

DuPage Health and Wellness Fair will be held at the Carlisle, 435 E. Butterfield Road, Lombard. The fair will feature more than 50 booths staffed by participating agencies which will provide screenings and health/wellness information. 

The second annual Glendale Heights Oktoberfest kicks off Sept. 12 and runs through Sept. 22 at Camera Park, 101 E. Fullerton. Authentic German food, authentic Oktoberfest Bier, live entertainment by strolling German "Oompah" band, petting zoo, pony rides, a pumpkin patch, plant sale, vendors and more.

Friday, Sept. 13

Nerds can be funny. "Feel the Power of the Dork Side," a nationally-touring one-man show, is coming to Wheaton at 7:30 p.m. Friday Sept 13, at ITT Rice Campus, 201 E. Loop Road, Wheaton. Those with a technical degree and those without one (normal people) are all welcome.
