The National Weather Service is predicting a fairly drastic change this week as the temperatures hit 50, then fall to about 10 degrees by the weekend. But don't let the unseasonable weather keep you from attending some of these great events this week.

Thursday, Dec. 5
- Learn about recycling at SCARCE open house.
- Shop in Glen Ellyn on Thursdays and proceeds go to local charities. This week, it's the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.
- First United Methodist Church in Glen Ellyn welcomes popular rapper and song-writer Michael Lacoste for a gospel-inspired youth concert.
