Obama only hints at unfolding Iraq catastrophe

President Obama parsed his words yesterday to soft peddle consequences of the Sunni assault by ISIS that has gobbled up a third of Iraq including the second largest city Mosul.  His import was clear however:

We're done sending soldiers to bleed and die in a senseless, criminal war.

We may drop a few bombs to placate the virulent war mongers Sen. John McCain and Lindsay Graham and their fellow members of the American war party.

The trillions spent to kill hundreds of thousands, including 4,489 Americans was a total waste.

Iraq is an utterly failed state wracked by sectarian violence that can only be resolved by the disparate peoples who inhabit that sorrowful land and its neighbors.

What Obama didn't allude to is that:

Bush's Iraq war handed Iraq over to it's neighbor Iran which now must jump in to salvage their Shi'ite brethren.

Bush's senseless 2003 war of choice will continue to haunt the Middle East and American foreign policy for many years.
