“Our brewery list is a good marriage of brews this year, we want the staples, the trendy, and the newbies” Brian Whitkanack, Arrowhead Golf Club Beverage Manager and Wheaton Brew Fest committee member said in a news release.

A number of ticket options are available including General Admission and Designated Driver options. The General Admission ticket ($35) includes a food voucher for a food item valued at $5 from one of the vendors, according to the committee. The designated driver ticket is $15.

The VIP ticket, which was $65 and is already sold out, includes access to the VIP tent, sponsored by Whole Food Wheaton, which will provide a buffet from 12 to 1:30 p.m. VIP’s will also get four select brewer samples from the grocer as well as five additional unique one-off varieties available only to VIP ticket holders.

New this year will be a VIP designated driver pass for $25. The ticket is available to those who will not be drinking but who want to have access to the festival’s additional amenities, according to the committee.

A total of 2,000 tickets will be sold for the brew fest.

Along with the beer and food there will be musical acts ready to entertain the crowds. This year’s lineup includes: Fresh Hops, the Four Star Brass Band and 95.9 The River Radio Station.

“To think when I was growing up in this town, Wheaton was dry.  Now I am sitting on a committee bringing this awesome event to our community.” Whitkanack said. “We want to ensure this event is done responsibly and that our focus - well after the beer - is being able to support CASA [Court Appointed Special Advocates of DuPage].”

The 3rd annual Wheaton Brew Fest hosted by the Wheaton Park District will be held Aug. 3 from noon to 4 p.m. at Memorial Park. Find more information or purchase tickets online.
