Glenbard West Blanks Downers North, And Glenbard South a Winner Over Rich East
Friday was a good day to be a Glen Ellyn football fan.
Glenbard West - 21, Downers Grove North - 0
Glenbard West is not going to let that opening upset loss against Wheaton Warrenville South throw them off their game. The Hilltoppers let the Trojans of Downers Grove North know who's boss Friday in a 21-0 shutout.
In the Silver Conference opener, defending state champion Glenbard West showed it's got plenty of fight left to repeat its stellar 2012 season.

The Hilltoppers head to La Grange Friday, Sept. 20, to take on Lyons Township High School.
Glenbard South - 35, Rich East - 13
The Raiders also were big winners against Rich East Friday night at home.
