Glen Ellyn Phillies 16 U Celebrate Two Tournament Victories
The girls softball team won tournaments in Woodstock and Algonquin recently.
Congratulations to the Glen Ellyn Phillies 16-U for a winning season. The team had two recent tournament victories.
The team consists of girls from Glenbard West, Glenbard South and Benet Academy.
On July 21, the team won the Woodstock Girls softball tournaments defeating the Grant Bulldogs in the Championship game 10-0, according to Coach Matt Morse. The team’ record during the series was 5-0.

The team also was successful at the Algonquin Girls Softball tournament on July 14. The team had a perfect record of 6 wins and 0 losses at the tournament. The team beat the Naperville Diamonds in the Championship game.
