Spooktacular Saturday

“Spooked By Food? Terrified of Losing Your Fitness
Program?”

If facing hoards of food from now through
the New Year scares you, or you’re afraid of veering off the exercise track
during the hectic holiday season – NutriFit can help!

“Spooktacular Saturday” is a fun, educational event where NutriFit’s
personal trainers and in-house dietitian will dig into their bag of tricks to
share the treat of balanced nutrition and fitness. The event will be held
October 29, 2011, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Says Cathy Leman, dietitian, personal trainer, and founder of NutriFit,
“Over the holidays, it’s especially easy for people to be overwhelmed by food
choices and move away from regular exercise. At NutriFit we blend nutrition and
fitness, bridging food and mindful eating strategies with targeted exercise
programs to help people navigate this tricky time of year – and beyond!”

Using a foam roller, NutriFit’s personal trainers will demonstrate
gentle stretching techniques to relax tight muscles and joints; these total
body moves provide a powerful stress reducer. A foam roller is a firm foam log that
got its start in the physical therapy world, and has made its way onto the
fitness circuit as a prevention and maintenance tool.

We know when life gets hectic, a regular fitness schedule helps you
feel centered, grounded, and empowered. Trainers will also be teaching
“on-the-go” exercises that can be done anywhere. A “Get Fit Kit” filled with exercise
samples, a pedometer, resistance band, and nutrition tips will be available for
purchase.

Cathy will demonstrate two delicious, seasonal recipes, Pumpkin
Smoothies
and Warm, Spiced Nuts with recipes and
tastings for all in attendance. “Knowing you’ve got quick, real food choices
available provides a level of comfort, and makes it easier to bypass the less nourishing
snacks that seem to lurk everywhere at this time of year,” says Leman.

NutriFit is a private personal training/fitness studio and nutrition
