Glen Ellyn Park District hosts free disc golf clinic

LEARN TO PLAY
Learn to play disc golf on the Glen Ellyn Park District's newly constructed nine-hole Disc Golf Course at Maryknoll Park. Instructors from Midwest Disc Golf will be on hand to demonstrate techniques in driving and putting along with equipment basics and disc golf Rules of Play. Discs will be provided so everyone will have the opportunity to give their newfound skills a try out on the course.

A GAME FOR EVERYONE
Disc golf is a sport everyone can play, regardless of age, ability or gender. Disc golf provides conditioning for the upper and lower body, aerobic exercise, and promotes a combination of physical and mental abilities. Learn to play or improve your disc golf skills. A “free to play” course, disc golf is an affordable way to bring a group or family out for a day of exercise in the park.

GREAT GET-TOGETHERS
A great way to get together with friends, family, co-workers and colleagues, disc golf is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a golf disc (Frisbee®). The disc is thrown from a tee area to a basket target. As players progress down the fairway, they must make each consecutive shot from the spot where the previous throw has landed until the "putt" lands in the basket and the hole is completed.
