7th/8th Grade Glen Ellyn Boys Rugby – Parent & Player Info Night

Glen Ellyn Youth Rugby is forming a 7th/8th Grade Boys Tackle Rugby Team to play in the Illinois Youth Rugby Association's Middle School Division for the Spring of 2012 (April-May 2012).

Those interested in playing should plan on being at the Parent & Player Info Night Meeting to learn more. The meeting will be held at 7pm on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in the Clayton Room on the Second Floor of the Glen Ellyn Civic Center (535 Duane St, Glen Ellyn, IL).

Rugby is a great sport, and kids love playing it. While rugby is definitely a contact sport, there are positions for all body types/skill sets. The goal of Glen Ellyn Youth Rugby is to develop players by teaching them how to safely play rugby in a fun/positive environment with lots of playing time for every player. We anticipate every player who comes out to practice regularly getting ample game time during each week's game. We'll field multiple teams as needed to facilitate more game time for everyone… it is all about getting the kids playing rugby and having fun. We want to stress, no rugby experience is necessary… it is a new sport for all the players so everyone is at the same starting point.
