Football: Countdown to Game 2 of the Playoffs; Stream GBW Game Here Saturday

Certainly, one of the coolest things happening this weekend is football. Both of our Glen Ellyn teams are still in the playoffs. 

Glenbard West vs. Jacobs High School

In Round 2 of 7A playoff action, 3rd seed Glenbard West will take on 11th seed JB Conant this weekend in Hoffman Estates. The Hilltoppers, who have won nine straight games in a row, made easy work of Harlem last weekend, beating the Huskies 49-14.

Conant (7-3, 3-2 in WSC) also won last week against Jacobs High School in Algonquin 42-35.

Glenbard South vs Lincoln-Way West

Glenbard South is 10-0. Say what you want about the "easy" schedule that we've been hearing about all season. But the fact of the matter is, the Raiders are 10 and 0. No matter how you slice it, they are undefeated and ready for Class 5A playoff Round 2, versus Lincoln-Way West.

3rd seed South beat Bloom 29-13 and St. Francis 47-28, respectively, the past two weeks, but 6th seed Lincoln-Way (9-1) might be more of a challenge.
