School is On Friday in District 87
The district is leaving it up to parents' discretion whether children attend classes Friday.
After cancelling classes Thursday due to the severe weather and flooding around the area, Glenbard District 87 will be open for classes on April 19.
The district said with the much improved weather forecast on Friday, classes will be back in session.
"Still, we are sensitive to any safety or home-related challenges that families might be dealing with. We defer to parents' best judgment," District 87 said in a news release Thursday night.

In addition, the district offered thanks to all municipal crews and emergency responders who responded during the storm. The district also offered thanks to neighbors for helping neighbors.
