New Glenbard West Principal: “Hard to Imagine Going Anywhere Else”

Peter Monaghan has worked at Glenbard West for the past 18 years.

Peter Monaghan, the incoming new Glenbard West High School principal says that he intends to focus on increasing numbers of Advanced Placement tests students take, broadening the diversity of extracurricular activities and overall providing new opportunities for students, the Suburban Life reports.

According to the paper, Monaghan has worked at Glenbard West for the past 18 years before finally being elevated to the top of the ladder this year; he told the paper that the school brings together students from many different backgrounds into a joint identity as Hilltoppers.

“I’m very, very excited to be in this position, to be a part of this vibrant learning community,” Monaghan told the paper. “It’s hard for me to imagine going anywhere else… I’ll work to create the best environment for students, do what’s best for students.”
