Student Chosen as Finalist in High School Musical Theater Awards

Glenbard West High School student Molly Hernandez was chosen as a finalist for the Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards, according to a news release from Glenbard High School District 87. 

The Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards will be Monday, April 29, at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place in Chicago. Broadway in Chicago’s workshop leaders will lead a warm up to prepare finalists for the day, and cast and team members from “Anything Goes” will teach the finalists a group number.

Hernandez and the other finalists will sing a cut from one song from the role for which they were nominated for a panel of judges.

During the final awards ceremony the finalists will perform the group number, all participants will be recognized, and the Illinois representatives for the National High School Musical Theater Awards program will be announced.
