Glenbard Parent Series: 'Creativity—What is it?'

Glenbard District 87 parenting series workshop looks at the nature of creativity.

Glenbard High School District 87 will host its next parenting series event with INTOUCH (Illinois Network to Organize the Understanding of Community Health), "Creativity—What is It, Why Do We Need It and How Do We Get it Back," with Steven Fischer 12 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at Glenbard South High School.

The interactive workshop will focus on the nature of and thought process of creativity. Fischer will discuss ways to nurture creativity and unique expression, and the role of risk-taking in the creative process, according to a news release from District 87.

The workshop is driven by excerpts from the documentary Old School New School, exploring the nature of creativity with a host of world-class artists. Fischer will include personal stories drawn from his experience as an artist.
